Today we rewalked this outing (see November 2018) on a predicted wet and windy day. It wasn’t wet. The idea was to do it on the last day before the motorway bridge is demolished, due on the 8th January. It is said that the curved concrete at each end is potentially dangerous for high lorries on the hard shoulders, so at present both of these are blocked off under the bridge. See the pictures.
From tomorrow the path will go to Nan’s Nook as usual then through a wide field gate to the left of where it went over a fence to the M6, marked by a yellow cube, then along the field edge by the M6 and under it by the Wyre and along to join the Wyre Way. The map on the November 2018 post shows this now.
